executive intervention

For anyone who has a loved one, friend, family member, co-worker, or employee who may have a serious problem with alcohol: you don’t have to just sit by and watch, you can help.

Our program is especially designed for the working professional and the businessperson in any stage of dependency or recovery. One of the most difficult stages of dependency for family and friends is usually just prior to the individual entering a treatment program. The individual has often built up extensive walls against all those around them; they block out others to hide the depths of their problem and their own powerlessness over alcohol. Many refuse to admit or even acknowledge losing the everyday battles; they are normally self-sufficient, hard working individuals and feel they can beat this affliction on their own. Unfortunately these admirable traits that helped make them a success in the business world now drive them further into their problem, into denial, and into dependency.

In such cases, an intervention is necessary. When a person cannot or will not see their problem, outside help is needed to break down the walls. In an intervention, our professional staff meets with friends, family, and co-workers, and then all together the group meets with the individual. Together, they express a message of shared concern and love. Our counselors work to keep the session productive, as often when confronted, a dependent person will turn to denial, manipulation, or argument. The ultimate goal of the intervention is to help this person see their need to help, and afterwards our staff can help find a suitable facility and program (in-patient or out-patient) and even escort or assist in travel arrangements.

Alcoholism, substance abuse, and addition are subtle yet deadly diseases. They grow worse every day, but often we do not or cannot see their progression. We encourage you to call us today if you are concerned about someone you know.
